JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to an assigned supervisor or manager, responsible for providing customer service to the general public. May be assigned to Operations, Voter Registration, or Administrative duties.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
* Ensures comprehensive filing systems are maintained and up to date
* Retrieves, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and fax documents
* Creates and maintains various reports, forms, worksheets, and informational materials
* Enters and verifies data within applicable databases and systems
* Cross-trains with office staff in other areas to ensure continuity of departmental operations
* Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
* Performs special duties as assigned
Administrative Assignment
* Answers telephone and email inquiries for all Williamson County Elections Department
* Provides information and updates to voters regarding election statutes and laws
* Serves as the first point of contact for Election Department
* Utilizes available tools to research and resolve voter inquiries
* Opens, sorts, date stamps mail and documents
Voter Registration Assignment
* Processes Volunteer Deputy Registrars Applications
* Provides support to Voter Registration team during peak times
* Assists with data entry of voter registration applications
Operations Assignment
* Assists with training and assignment of Poll Workers
* Assists with creating public facing documents and training materials
* Prepares election supplies for use in polling locations

* Reports directly to - Assigned Supervisor or Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, speaking, listening, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, and standing

* Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
IRREGULAR HOURS
* Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required
* May be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One (1) years of basic computer navigation experience
* Six (6) months of general office experience and/or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required within thirty (30) days of employment
* Valid driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bilingual (English/Spanish)
* Two (2) years of basic computer navigation experience
* Two (2) years of experience in customer service in a fast-paced environment
* Any relevant election experience
