DescriptionOversee the daily operation of assigned pool section. Work is performed under immediate supervisor with exercise of judgement in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques.This is a temporary seasonal summer position.* Preference given for applicants availablefor the entire summer season. Work hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for program operation.Examples of DutiesAll Areas of Assignment* Responsible for checking facilities, equipment, and reporting any issues to the Pool Manager.* Forwards incidents to pool manager, reports problems and exercises diligence and prudence in maintaining maximum safety for all patrons and team.* Assists with in-service training programs for seasonal team.* Assists with daily inventory of all emergency equipment, office or cleaning supplies, and concessions needed for daily operation.* Monitor employee daily check-in and check-out.* Ensures seasonal team submit hours worked in ESS and approve the team's timesheets by the established deadlines.Area of Assignment: Lifeguard* Oversees assigned pool team including assigned daily tasks.* Responsible for facility counts ensuring adherence to pool capacity limits.Area of Assignment: Cashier* Oversees cash handling and seasonal cashier team including picking up money in the morning and counting money at the end of the day.* Responsible for facility counts ensuring adherence to gate capacity limits.Experience and Training* Must be 17 years old.* Applicants 18 years or older may be assigned to supervise cashiering.* Two (2) years of related work experience is required.Certificates and Licenses Required* Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.Pool Supervisors assigned to Lifeguard only:* Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training* American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Trainingwill consider other agencies certifications on a case-by-case basisPreferred:* American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification* American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
