We are currently seeking a Director of Resident Engagement / Activities Director who is passionate about making a difference for our Barton Springs Community!

Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a social or recreational program for elders
  • Knowledge or experience working with residents with Alzheimer's Disease and/or related dementia highly desirable
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds
  • One year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, promoting company culture, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
  • High School or equivalent required
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • This role requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record as a condition of employment. Associates must comply with all state and federal driving regulations
  • Associates in roles requiring driving are responsible for maintaining a valid and active driver's license. Failure to maintain a valid license may result in reassignment, suspension, or termination in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • You may be required to work outside of your regular hours depending on business needs

What you'll be doing:

  • Under the direction of the Administrator, is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of the resident engagement programs
  • The programs shall be scheduled daily and shall make every effort to meet the comprehensive needs and interests of all the residents
  • Supervises engagement staff members and volunteers

Anticipated pay range: $65,000 - $70,000 USD
