Whole Foods Market is hiring a Principal Recruiter (L6) to join our Talent Acquisition team at our office in Austin, Texas. In this exciting role, you'll lead the charge in sourcing, evaluating, and hiring top-tier talent across key corporate functions such as Marketing, Merchandising, Corporate Communications, HR, Analytics, and more—empowering our teams globally.

As a Principal Recruiter, you'll partner with hiring leaders and stakeholders to create innovative sourcing strategies and recruitment plans that align with our mission to nourish people and the planet. Your expertise will be vital in shaping the future of Whole Foods Market by bringing in the best talent to help us continue growing and thriving.

This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the downtown office five days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Manage the entire recruitment process from initial sourcing to final selection, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with team leaders, candidates, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with Senior Store Support leaders to proactively understand their talent needs and timelines, providing guidance on best recruitment practices, compensation, and negotiation strategies.
  • Proactive Sourcing: Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract a diverse candidate pool, adjusting tactics as needed to meet the dynamic needs of the business. Must understand the competitive market and the company's value proposition to source qualified and interested talent.
  • Analytics & Insights: Analyze recruitment metrics to identify trends and challenges, using data to refine strategies and improve recruitment outcomes. Generate and regularly share recruiting reports showcasing key metrics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with HR and other departments to align talent acquisition strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Advise & Mentor: Serves as a Talent and Recruitment advisor on a wide range of areas to other Team Members, senior leaders, and key organizational stakeholders. Mentor peers on the recruiting team.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and 6-8+ years of relevant corporate recruitment experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong preference for experience recruiting for creative and product design teams. Ideally, you are confident reviewing portfolios.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the full lifecycle of recruitment, from sourcing to closing, with a consistent track record of successfully filling positions.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze external talent pipelines and trends, including competition, costs, productivity, and retention, to optimize recruitment strategies.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems; Workday and/or Paradox is a plus.
