Job Details

Under general supervision, the Parks Maintenance Worker maintains parks including open spaces, athletic fields, facilities, and provides Brush Recycling Center support. Work involves assisting in the recycling center and performing various duties to support special events. Posted pay range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience. Examples of Duties Maintains grounds by mowing, edging, and trimming park areas; removes weeds and trims flower beds; performs irrigation checks and repairs; replaces fences; repairs playground structures and cleans trails. Maintains athletic fields by trimming fields; ensures proper watering; sets bases and shaves infields; aerates and applies chemicals for weeds and pests. Performs daily rounds of facilities to pick up trash, empty cans and inspect areas for damage/vandalism. Maintains facilities including painting/repairing/replacing.
