This Territory Manager - Agribusiness will support the state of Texas. Qualified candidates will reside in the state. Overnight travel within the territory will be required.

As the Farm Territory Manager, you'll work within a defined territory agency plant, including recruiting, training, developing and executing specific business plans that are mutually beneficial for the company and agency. We'll count on you to be engaged in sales, service and risk management activities to achieve profitability and growth goals. In addition, you'll provide technical and procedural advice and counsel to all Agribusiness Underwriting, exclusive agency, appointed and independent agents.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to AVP, Farm Territory Management. Leads a team of Agribusiness Territory professionals.
Typical Skills And Experiences
Education: Undergraduate studies in business, insurance or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Completion of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation is highly desired. Meet the professional certification and/or Property & Casualty sales licensing requirements of state jurisdictions (in which assigned) for providing sales and service, within a period of time specified and agreed upon at time of employment.
Experience: Six to eight years' experience in the insurance industry, business, government or agribusiness preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of Agribusiness products, services, processes, procedures and sales techniques. Project management concepts. Working knowledge of state laws and regulations required. Demonstrated ability to routinely reach or exceed sales goals. Command of all skills necessary for verbal and written communication with policyholders, field sales, and office personnel. Ability to motivate people to affect change. Ability to set work priorities and to initiate, evaluate and recommend solutions to upper management.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resource Business Partner.

Job Conditions
Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)
Working Conditions: Sufficient physical mobility and capability to do field work promptly and without assistance, such as surveys, climbing ladders, walking for extended periods, and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds. Frequent travel within assigned region. Most sales managers work from a remote location, such as an office out of their home. A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required.
