Their clients include large financial firms, utilities, and Federal customers.This position is a Hybrid role located in Austin, Texas with 3 days a week onsite required.Job SummaryThe Windows Desktop Engineer and M365 Specialist will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 desktop environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across the organization. This role requires an experienced professional who can effectively address performance issues, has a deep understanding of Office/M365, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs). The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure.Key Responsibilities Design/Build/Manage/Maintain the Windows 10/11 desktop environmentTroubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues in Windows 10/11 desktop environmentsDesign/Build/Manage/Maintain the M365 application suite with cloud managementDiagnose and remediate Office/M365 application issues, addressing system slowness and functionality problemsCreate, implement, manage, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure proper configuration and securityManage corporate Web browser experience using Chrome Enterprise and MS EdgeDesign and develop automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting technologiesProvide senior-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software problems efficientlyMonitor system performance and develop proactive solutions for continuous improvementDocument procedures, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharingStay current with the latest industry trends and technologiesRequired Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of experience in Windows desktop engineering and support rolesProven expertise in troubleshooting Windows 10/11 performance issues using advanced diagnostic toolsComprehensive knowledge of Office/M365 applications suite and solving complex application issuesAdvanced experience with GPO creation, implementation, and troubleshootingStrong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasksSolid understanding of Active Directory administration and integrationExpert knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologiesDemonstrated ability to write clear technical documentation and management presentationsAdvanced troubleshooting skills utilizing event logs, System Internals tools, and performance monitorsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiencesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Proven ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressureExperience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentsPreferred Qualifications Citrix virtualization experience, particularly with XenApp/XenDesktop/Virtual Apps and DesktopsMicrosoft certifications (Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert)Experience with endpoint security solutions and management toolsKnowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and services integrationExperience with conferencing software administration (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworksPersonal Attributes Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical capabilitiesCustomer-focused approach with commitment to service excellenceAdaptable to changing priorities and technologiesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamExcellent time management skills with ability to prioritize effectivelyProfessional demeanor with strong interpersonal skillsThis position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our desktop environment while working with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic organization.The Offer 60-80/hr W2 payoption 401kW2 employee benefitsMotion Recruitment partners#J-18808-Ljbffr
