Drive early concept feasibility to support and/or influence product requirements. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive customer-focused product solutions and influence portfolio strategy. Use 3 D CAD software to design sheet metal, plastic, die cast, and other components and assemblies. Utilize robust design practices to design, prototype, and assess mechanical concept feasibility. Interface with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering and other internal engineering disciplines to ensure the successful development and launch of new products.
