As a Partner Technical Specialist your purpose is to influence your partners' technical strategies, working to incorporate and embed IBM's technology portfolio into Partner's reference architectures, practices, and solutions versus competition.
As a deeply technical seller, you'll increase your partners' technical capabilities by enabling their sales and technical sellers to experientially demonstrate IBM Technology at scale with your clients.

Your role and responsibilities
With the primary goal of expanding the capability and capacity of the overall Ecosystem, and depending on the market and /or partner growth opportunity, you'll cover all or a combination of IBM's 'Build', 'Sell' and 'Service' opportunities.
Part technical consultant, you'll build trust, understand the value of our partners' offerings, and co-create solutions that demonstrate the value of our relationship. All-the-while building confidence that motivates partners to include IBM solutions at the heart of their client proposals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Data and AI Expertise: Assume the role of a data and AI expert within your team, taking technical ownership.
Early Sales Cycle Support: Provide technical support during the early sales cycle, including activities such as demos, proofs of concept, and workshops.
Collaboration with IBM Sales Teams: Collaborate with IBM sales teams by leveraging various tools to manage territories and identify opportunities.
Product Value Highlight: Emphasize the value of your brand's products in comparison to competitors.
Personal Brand Building: Establish and maintain a strong personal brand on digital platforms, fostering trust, expertise, and credibility.
Required technical and professional expertise
Technology Partner Sales Offering Expertise: Possess expertise in building and going to market with technology partner sales offerings that foster strong, two-way, revenue-generating collaborations.
Proven Co-Selling Success: Have a proven, successful history of co-selling with partners in front of their clients.
Effective Communication and Relationship Development: Demonstrate success in communication and personal relationship development at all levels across colleagues, partners, and clients.
Consistent Target Achievement and High Performance: Maintain a track record of consistently achieving targets with and through others, showcasing high performance, and challenging self and others to consistently deliver results.
Experience: At least 3-5 years experience in Information Technology, Data and AI solutions, or a relevant field.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Comprehensive Knowledge of IBM's Product Suite: Possess a strong understanding of IBM's product suite (full training on IBM's technologies will be provided).
Understanding IBM's Competitive Distinctions: Grasp IBM's competitive differentiations as well as the position of competitors in the market.
