Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle repairs according to estimates and ensure adherence to manufacturer standards.
  • Verify parts against estimates and ensure correct parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepare vehicles for body repair work efficiently.
  • Notify management about any additional repairs needed and document extra parts and labor required for satisfactory repairs.
  • Inform management of any issues that may hinder quality work or extend estimated repair times.
  • Maintain and utilize all required safety equipment, following manufacturer recommendations.
  • Comply with all regulations regarding paint, thinners, and hazardous materials, and report any deviations to management.
  • Collaborate and assist team members in vehicle repair and preparation.
  • Stay informed about and comply with relevant regulations affecting body shop operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a collision repair technician, especially with heavy structural collision and frame work.
  • ICAR certification in auto body repair, painting, and estimating is preferred.
  • Certificate from a Vocational School in Collision is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes, including when to repair or replace parts.
  • Able to read and follow instructions on repair and estimate orders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record in the state of employment.
