Role Electrical Design Engineer with experience doing electrical design for commercial buildings (they do the electrical design for the state/government buildings so want similar experience)

Location they want a candidate who lives in the Austin area but it will mainly be remote but will have to come occasionally
THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION - MUST BE LOCATED IN TEXAS
Rate we've been getting people anywhere from $35hr on w2 depending on experience. They don't need a lot of experience though, I would say 5-10 years.

Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit - Creating design from scratch (not just using it on existing design)
We need a quick line or two from them explaining about how they've done electrical design from scratch

Job Description

Electrical Engineer Designer Candidate Requirements.

Electrical Design - this will help the licensed designer with the design
• Design Experience Required:
o Proficient in Autodesk Revit software using both 2D and 3D design.
o Proficient in use of AutoCAD software.
o Perform load analysis.
o ble to work in a team setting and offer guidance to electrical designers.
o ble to manage electrical design projects to include service entrance design, electrical distribution design, and writing specifications using Master Spec for small to medium size projects with minimal direction.
• Design Experience Desired:
o Perform light photometric studies using Client or Visual software.
o Experience with power analytical software such as SKM, Easy Power...etc.
o Experience in interpreting and writing Power Study Reports from results from power analytical software to include Short Circuit Studies, Load Flow Studies, Motor Starting Studies, Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Studies.
o Perform construction Management duties to include Submittal Review, RFI Responses, Site Walkthroughs, and Punch Lists.
o May be required to represent company in design meetings with Architect, Engineers, and Contractors. • Education Requirement:
o Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
o EIT Preferred, not required-Candidate would need to be working toward obtaining Professional License.
• Required Experience:
o 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical design of commercial buildings.
o Experience working remotely
