Samsung Austin Semiconductor Metal Process Technician

As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Metal Process Technician, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. You'll also use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

You'll also be responsible for:

  • Performing Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/processes/systems are running effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitoring Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Working in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Associates degree or other technical certification. Experienced Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assistant or other medical technologist (external equivalent). or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to be focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Be familiar with TPM concepts
  • Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs
  • Ability to work off-hours if necessary
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity

All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite. We are not currently accepting applications for candidates who currently, or in the future, will need visa sponsorship.

Day Shifts Include:

A Shift Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays

C Shift Thursday through Saturday (6:45am 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
