Tax Senior

Global hedge fund is searching for a Tax Senior. The Tax Senior will play a key role in managing tax advisory, compliance, and fund taxation activities for a growing investment-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Advisory
  • Support tax-related analysis for transactions, entity restructurings, and new business initiatives.
  • Assist in structuring new ventures to ensure tax implications are identified and addressed appropriately.
  • Conduct research on U.S. tax matters and prepare summaries or recommendations.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and external advisors on employer compliance issues.
• Fund Taxation
  • Perform investment and transaction reviews to assess tax implications, including ASC 740 analysis.
  • Support FATCA compliance by coordinating with external trading partners and internal investor relations and operations teams.
  • Address tax inquiries from current and prospective investors during due diligence processes.
• Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and review U.S. tax filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review draft tax computations from external advisors and provide feedback as needed.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure all tax audit matters are properly handled and deadlines are met.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
• Demonstrated experience in fund taxation or related areas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience in asset management, investment funds, or financial services.
• Exposure to corporate, international, and partnership tax matters.
• Prior experience in tax research and technical writing.
