How Will You Make an Impact?:

In this role, you will ensure the products our customers know, love, and depend on are shipped in a timely and safe manner.

A Day in the Life:

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
  • Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature (59-86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or freezer-room (minus 4 - 23 degrees F).
  • Safely operate distribution equipment.
  • Satisfactorily complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution including, but not limited to, Control of Documents and Quality Policy.
  • Provide occasional training and coaching to peers.
  • Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.
  • Operate PC applications and systems including Microsoft Excel, E-1, and SAP.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
  • Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Inter-mediate computer proficiency to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions
  • Proven track record to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
