AVP Sr Relationship Assistant

Description:

This position ensures that applicable bank lending policies and practices, as well as state and federal regulations are being followed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development and maintenance of loan and credit files. Prepares various loan documents for loan officers ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Provides clerical and customer service support to the bank lobby.
  • Processes and follows up on new and renewal documents, processes renewals on real estate files.
  • Prepares packets that include plans/cost breakdown for the appraisal department. Prepares the loan set up sheet.
  • Processes and closes loan documents in person with customer.
  • Processes loans from approval to closing. Sends out new and renewal documents; sends certified mail. Obtains signatures for approvals of various exceptions.
  • Orders loan documents through commercial attorney. Orders Title Commitments, Flood Certificates, Appraisals, Title Binder Extensions, UCC searches and Credit Reports.
  • Approves HUD's for closing, requests Plans and Cost Breakdown sheets for interims.
  • Processes customer requests or inquiries including loan draws or transfers.
  • Reviews and approves documents before they are sent to close, checks on pending loans for Title Commitment and Appraisals. Prepares additional security agreements for collateralized loans; prepares HMDA on applicable loans. Prepares drafting instructions or sends off cashier's check for vehicle loans.
  • Places Red Flag verifications on all new loans. Sends out denial and withdrawal letters, as necessary.
  • Communicates loan status with the Loan Origination Department, Compliance Department, Loan Officers, and Customers.
  • In dept knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures to successfully assist customers in all aspect of the new account and teller functions.
  • Perform teller duties including cash, check and deposit transactions, wire transfers, loan payments, Cashier's Checks, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Knowledge of both customer and business account opening along with the ability to recommend and cross sell products and services.
  • Perform audit and vault duties as needed.
  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Experience Required

  • Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Five years of job-related experience required, preferably in the financial industry.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Job Knowledge/Technical Knowledge: Computer (Microsoft Office, Loan Origination Software, Jack Henry, LaserPro), ppdocs.com.
  • Accuracy, attention to details, organizational skills.
