Position Overview

Crunch Fitness - Undefeated Tribe is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee large-scale projects from concept to completion. As an owner's representative, you will manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards while coordinating developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Your mission is to deliver every club on time, on standard, and on budget, ensuring a seamless handoff to Operations. In this role, you'll play a key part in setting each location up for success and driving Crunch Fitness's rapid growth nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Project Mobilization Oversight - Confirm that permits, utilities, subcontractors, and materials are secured by
    the GC; ensure the site is prepared for construction kickoff.
  • Schedule & Milestone Management - Monitor project schedules, inspections, and key deliverables; hold the GC
    accountable for on-time performance and initiate recovery plans if delays occur.
  • Budget & Financial Control - Review and approve bids, contracts, and change orders; validate cost accuracy,
    negotiate savings, and ensure the project remains within the approved budget.
  • Quality & Compliance Assurance - Conduct regular site visits and audits to confirm adherence to Crunch Fitness
    brand standards, building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Stakeholder & Operations Coordination - Act as the primary liaison with owners, executives, Operations
    partners, and design professionals; provide clear communication and resolve escalated issues.
  • Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate logs of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking;
    deliver weekly progress reports and executive-level updates.
  • Operational Turnover Readiness - Validate that all systems, finishes, and equipment meet standards; ensure
    the site is fully operational and deliver closeout documents for a seamless transition to Operations.
Key Measures of Success
  • On-Time Delivery - Ensure every club is completed and handed over to Operations on schedule.
  • On-Budget - Manage change orders and control costs to meet approved budgets.
  • On-Standard - Deliver projects that meet brand specifications with punch lists closed before opening and
    operations satisfaction scores exceeded.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction manager, general contractor, or owners representative, with at least 3 years acting in an owner's rep capacity.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Excel and project management software.
  • Experience in managing construction teams is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction laws, regulations, and codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Procore experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires extended use of computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Prolonged stints of sitting working in an office/home office environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
