Shop Helper Rebar Fabrication

Shift Schedule: MondayFriday

1st Shift: 6:00 AM until job is completed (1011 hours per day) Frequent overtime required Pay rate: $17.00

2nd Shift: 5:00 PM until job is completed (1011 hours per day) Frequent overtime required. Could work most of Saturday morning. Pay rate: $18.00

Note: End times will vary depending on daily production demands. Consistent attendance and flexibility are essential.

Job Responsibilities

As a Shop Helper, your role is vital to maintaining efficient production and safe operations in the rebar fabrication shop. Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the fabrication, cutting, bending, and loading of rebar materials.

Operating hand tools, machines, and equipment accurately, efficiently, and safely.

Measuring and inspecting rebar using a tape measure for accuracy.

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Following all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE (safety vest, gloves, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, etc.).

Supporting team members and assisting in various tasks as directed by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently.

Must be able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

Must be able to work in an industrial environment exposed to heat, noise, and dust.

Key Skills & Requirements

Ability to read numbers and use a tape measure accurately.

Must be flexible and willing to learn all positions within the rebar shop.

Demonstrate teamwork, dependability, and a strong work ethic.

Must follow all company safety rules and procedures.

Willingness to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities over time
