Under general supervision the Street Maintenance Worker performs a variety of skilled tasks in the construction and maintenance of city streets, trails, parking structures, ROW maintenance, concrete structures, storm water features and other areas as assigned. Posted range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience. Examples of Duties Assists a field crew in maintenance and construction of streets, trails, structures, alleys and other areas as assigned. Performs street maintenance duties including asphalt and concrete repair and mowing. Operates vehicles and equipment including dump trucks backhoes, and loaders as well as assorted hand and pneumatic tools, for a variety of construction and maintenance operations. Maintains records and prepares reports of work performed and materials used. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, the public, contractors and others.
