Construction Manager - Water/Wastewater

Summary:

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing water and wastewater construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. You would be joining a respected leader in heavy civil and waterworks construction, known for delivering award-winning infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead early-stage planning by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects to define project scope and material needs.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, adjusting as needed to address challenges or delays.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Select and manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with project specifications.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, revisions, and compliance.
  • Resolve issues related to construction methods, design, or site conditions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, teams, and field personnel.
  • Respond to site emergencies, weather delays, and other disruptions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering.
  • 7–10 years of experience in water/wastewater construction, special focus managing projects over $400M
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or Bluebeam preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, plans, and regulations.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems under pressure, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
