Job Description
The Revenue Recognition Technical Program Office is a diverse and high-performing team of motivated professionals who apply deep technical accounting and finance expertise to help Oracle stakeholders structure and execute strategic customer transactions that maximize revenue while mitigating risk.
The team's responsibilities include active participation in strategic contract reviews, technical accounting assessments of Oracle programs, and analysis of evolving regulatory developments. It also provides technical accounting advisory support to the Global Revenue Recognition organization.
As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in upholding Oracle's fiduciary standards by ensuring that revenue is recognized in full compliance with U.S. GAAP (primarily ASC 606 and ASC 842) and in alignment with Oracle's Revenue Recognition, Internal Controls, Finance & Accounting, and Business Practices policies.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of Oracle's Revenue Recognition, Internal Controls, Business Practices and Finance & Accounting policies
Partner closely with business leaders and cross functional teams, from initial deal concept through final revenue recognition, on strategic AI transactions, providing revenue recognition guidance on deal structures and terms, ensuring revenue business leaders understand any non standard accounting impact, and ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with Oracle's Revenue Recognition policies
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, promote a highly collaborative work environment and promote and provide training
Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of team objectives and initiatives, and ensure direct reports understand and align goals & objectives accordingly
Maintain an up to date working knowledge of Global RevRec and Oracle systems, databases and communication tools
Lead or assist in special projects as assigned, promote team participation in projects
Work with the Revenue Recognition team, external and internal auditors and respective business partners to prepare and maintain quarterly controls
Responsible for performance management, conducting annual reviews, and identifying training and development needs for self and any direct reports
PERSONAL SKILLS:
Proven background in Big 4 accounting or advisory, with significant exposure to complex accounting issues.
Demonstrated revenue recognition management experience within a cloud services provider or organization
Strong technical accounting acumen with ability to comprehend and apply technical guidance to complex scenarios
Ability to present and effectively communicate complex accounting issues
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with sound professional judgment.
Strong influencing, communication and persuasion skills at all levels
Ability to present and effectively communicate complex accounting issues
Strong organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks, while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment

Fluent in English (spoken and written) is essential;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7+ years revenue recognition ASC 606 and accounting US GAAP experience
Working knowledge of ASC 842 preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of management and leadership experience
Business degree, masters or MBA qualification

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
