IT Assistant Job Responsibilities

Support IT Infrastructure & Operations:

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT equipment and software applications.
• Provide timely technical support to employees and resolve IT-related problems.

Maintain Network & Systems:

• Monitor system performance and perform regular checks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Help maintain network connectivity, including setting up devices and printers.
• Assist with user account management and permissions across company systems.

Assist with IT Projects & System Upgrades:

• Collaborate with senior IT staff on system upgrades and new implementations.
• Support in rolling out new software or hardware tools, and provide training to employees as needed.
• Document IT procedures, system configurations, and user guidelines.

Ensure Security and Data Protection:

• Help maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data.
• Perform routine backups and assist with data recovery when needed.
• Support the enforcement of IT policies and compliance with company standards.

Collaborate with the IT Team:

• Work closely with the IT team to support ongoing technology projects and initiatives.
• Offer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance IT processes and services.

Requirements

Education, Licensure & Certifications:

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Skills & Experience:

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Familiarity with operating systems and troubleshooting methods.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical staff.
• A willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
