Buffalo Framing & Truss LLC has helped build Central Texas by providing turnkey framing trusses and wall panels for over 30 years We understand that the way to continue our success is by hiring outstanding individuals who are committed to excellence If this sounds like a company you would like to be a part of please apply We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team Job description The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material on multi family construction sites Responsibilities Operate Heavy Equipment machinery such as all terrain forklifts and Sky Trak forklifts Transport lumber material to and from the job site Unload lumber material from delivery trucks Responsible for inventory counts Maintaining a safe work environment Works on unleveled ground Qualifications and Experience 1 year construction forklift operation experience Skytrak preferred NO warehouse experience Experience loading and unloading long material Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments ie rain heat sun cold Must be able to traverse various terrains Must be able to write read and comprehend written and verbal job instructionsinformation Must be able to communicate with others Must have the endurance necessary to perform these duties throughout a standard eight or ten hour day Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies including holidays weekends etc Must have knowledge of heavy equipment Perform other duties as assigned by management Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to climb bend lift and stand for extended periods Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation Work Environment Lumber yard and active construction job sites Exposure to heavy equipment moving materials and outdoor elements Benefits Health Insurance Medical Dental and Vision Life and Disability Insurance 401K PTO and Paid Holidays Why Join Our Team Stable growing company in the truss and lumber industry Strong safety culture and team focused environment Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement and skill development We are an equal opportunity employer and we value teamwork safety and we are focused on Framing the Future with Skilled Hands
