Job Summary:

The Parts Warehouse verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assures proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functions.

Job Description:

1. Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verify information against invoices, orders and other records
2. Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
3. Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled
4. Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts records
5. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
6. Store stock in proper location
7. Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications
8. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
9. Assist parts counter locate items
10. Shelve customer orders
11. Must be able to operate heavy machinery (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc.)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
• Ability to use parts department computer system
• Good communication skills
