As a Total Store Sanitation Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome. Key responsibilities include sanitation and maintenance, ensuring the store's cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, including floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms. Maintain fulfillment of department hand wash sinks, such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer. Clean and pick up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the store. Use H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room. Empties and cleans trash receptacles throughout the store and each department. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs. Communicate maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to store leaders. Additionally, work with and around customers; attend to their needs. Assist customers in the location of product. Perform all duties of Customer Service Assistant when needed.
Qualifications and key requirements include knowledge of OSHA guidelines, sack skills, ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done, ability to prioritize competing tasks, customer service-oriented, initiative, willingness to do what needs to be done, ability to work with customers and attend to their needs. Education: HS diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications: Completion of company orientation upon hire, in-store orientation upon hire, basics of safety upon hire, annual food handler upon hire, basic HAZMAT/chemical safety certifications upon hire.
Physical demands and working conditions include constantly walking, reaching at waist, grasping, pushing/pulling with arms, frequently bending. Occasionally sitting, standing, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, reaching at floor, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pinching, performing fine motor movements. Occasionally exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions. Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs. It is partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and/or carry, the partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another partner or a manager.
