Title: Fire Alarm Technician Location: Deer Park, TX Pay rate: $42-50/hr- potential for overtime Mission: Provides service Inspection, testing, maintenance and repair for fire equipment which typically includes but is not limited to portable and semi-portable fire extinguishers, lifesaving equipment, fire and gas detection systems, foam systems, dry chemical systems, navigational aids, gaseous suppression systems and water-based fire protection systems. Experience working on Notifier, Det-Tronics flame detection, gas detection and other hazard mitigation systems for high-risk processes and critical industrial operations. Day to Day: Finalizing all preparations to get systems fully situated and ready for official commissioning. Managing the specialized requirements for CO2 system integration and skid-mounted units. Executing full system installations with dedicated corporate support. Handling smaller service calls, technical troubleshooting, and minor equipment adjustments. Serving as the primary consultant for third-party piping and system contractors. Acting as the final sign-off authority for customers to approve and certify contractor installations. Ensuring all safety paperwork is accurately completed and submitted. Maintaining the work vehicle to operational standards and ensuring it is fully equipped for field tasks. Must Haves 10+ Years of Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems. Electrical Authority: Deep expertise in the electrical side of systems (circuitry, wiring, and high-level troubleshooting). While 80% of the focus is electrical, the candidate must have the mechanical awareness to understand how fire suppression and alarm systems physically integrate with facility infrastructure. Must possess a valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) for immediate access to secure industrial and maritime sites. Does not wait for direction; proactively identifies potential bottlenecks in the installation process and resolves them. Can make hard decisions and take on leadership.
