Our work supports solutions to some of the world's toughest challenges, including environmental protection, food safety, and the development of life-saving therapies.Position SummaryThe Sales Manager will lead the West Region for Protein Diagnostics, driving revenue growth and market expansion through strategic sales leadership and strong customer engagement. This role is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, coaching and developing a high-performing team, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-focused solutions.This is a key commercial leadership role contributing directly to Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission and business success.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives across the West regionManage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targetsBuild and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support consistent business growthDevelop and implement pricing strategies to optimize profitability within the regionCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and supplier partners to meet customer needsMaintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including conducting sales calls and business reviewsMonitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to inform business strategyIntroduce and promote new products and solutions to drive market adoptionDrive innovative programs and initiatives to sustain growth across varying economic conditionsEnsure accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM data managementRepresent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally at all customer interactionsMinimum Qualifications7+ years of sales experience preferred in scientific, healthcare, or related industries3+ years of sales management or team leadership experienceBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)Strong understanding of laboratory, research, clinical, or industrial marketsDemonstrated success in strategic planning, forecasting, and achieving revenue targetsProven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teamsExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsExperience managing complex sales cycles and large, strategic accountsProficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office toolsStrong business acumen with analytical and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to work effectively in a matrixed organizationWillingness to travel 50–75%LocationRemote-based role, preferably located in the Western United States, with required field-based travel.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Texas is $104,600.00–$156,875.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
