Originates member business loans while consistently offering outstanding member service.ResponsibilitiesCalls on existing and potential business members to develop new business and increase or retain existing businessParticipates in business development activities that promote the increase of commercial loans and deposits for the Credit UnionMeets or exceeds individual loan goals and objectives as established by VP of Commercial LendingMaintains and develops a pipeline of prospective clients and commercial loan/line requestsManages relationships to achieve production goals and enhance service experience through member contact, association and community participationManages a portfolio of relationships to ensure product alignment, cross-sell opportunities, and maintain the safety and soundness of the portfolio.Maintains relationships with third-party vendors on existing and/or new products and services for the business services areaAccurately processes commercial loan requests in a timely manner, communicating regularly with the clientReviews commercial loans for compliance and utilizes the risk analysis process to monitor and evaluate loans being submitted for review and/or approvalSupports periodic credit reviews of member commercial loans to assess the overall financial condition and member's ability to re-pay the loanMaintains up-to-date credit files including current financial information deemed necessary and in accordance with the loan agreementOriginates a wide variety of commercial loans and lines of credit with the purpose of growing Amplify's commercial loan portfolio, while emphasizing prudent lending practices, loan quality, and member serviceInterviews applicants to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk by gathering information about their business and its needs, challenges, trends, plans, and financialsAnalyzes applicant financial status, credit, and collateral to determine feasibility of granting loan and submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendationFollows current loan guidelines and policies to ensure complete compliance with NCUA and Texas regulations.Offers financial advice and counsel to business customers and prospective membersPerforms post-closing activity including scheduled and unscheduled site visits and collateral inspectionsAssists and advises Account Resolutions with collection of business loansStudies and understands the national, regional and local economy along with industry performance in order to have a clear understanding of financial situations relating to new or existing businessesActively promotes Amplify's products and services by cross-selling to existing and prospective clientsMaintains ongoing communication with the VP of Commercial Lending, informing him/her of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility; attends meetings as scheduled and as directedUpholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externallySupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal credit training preferred. Minimum of three years credit union or other financial industry experience. Extensive knowledge and proven track record of commercial lending. A minimum of two year's experience with SBA 7(a) and 504 programs.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be bondable.Software And Equipment RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and be efficient with the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Credit Bureau Systems and financial calculators. Must have reliable internet access of 50MBPS which is the minimum speed required to connect to several of our systems and platforms.Other QualificationsWorking knowledge of all Federal, state, and NCUA regulations and guidelines pertaining to loan operationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredBasic knowledge of business law and consumer credit laws and regulationsExcellent judgment skills to make quick decisions within or outside written policy and procedures.What We OfferTo build a better bank, you must build a better team.
