OverviewJob Title: Sr. Network Engineer (Logical Layer / Dell SONiC Focus)Location: RemoteType: ContractDell is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support its North America Edge Network team with a focus on logical network design, Dell hardware, and SONiC-based switching platforms. This role will play a key part in redesigning and refreshing the network architecture across multiple distributed sites in the U.S. and LATAM regions, with additional responsibility for wireless infrastructure upgrades and support.This is a high-impact opportunity for a technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, understands complex enterprise networks, and has experience transitioning from Cisco to Dell SONiC platforms.ResponsibilitiesLead logical network design and redesign efforts at the site level, including core, distribution, and access layer planningBandwidth and topology optimizationNetwork segmentation and refresh prioritizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, deploy, test, and support wired and wireless infrastructureSupport Dell SONiC switch deployments, including site-level refreshes and configuration standardsManage and upgrade wireless infrastructure (from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 7), including WAPs, controllers, and wireless-first design initiativesImplement and align with Cisco NAC for network access control and endpoint authenticationParticipate in WAN architecture planning, including SD-WAN, trunking, and SPF configurationsProvide input on project prioritization and refresh planning across multiple sitesCollaborate across time zones (LATAM, CST) with minimal supervisionRequired Qualifications7–10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Architect in large-scale enterprise environmentsDeep hands-on experience with Dell switches and SONiC OSStrong knowledge of wired and wireless networking, including wireless controllers and WAP managementEnd-to-end switching from access through coreRefresh planning and hardware lifecycle managementExperience with Cisco NAC for endpoint security enforcementFamiliarity with WAN technologies, including trunking, SPF, and SD-WAN architectureAbility to assess and plan site-level network requirements across multiple global regionsPreferred QualificationsCCIE or equivalent senior-level networking certificationExperience migrating from Cisco to Dell SONiC platformsExperience in a global, multi-time-zone environmentStrong interpersonal skills; must be collaborative and delivery-focusedSpanish or Portuguese language skills a plus (not required)Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingJ-18808-Ljbffr
