Topa Group has partnered with a Fire Protection Company in Austin, TX. We are seeking a Sr. Fire Alarm Designer to lead life safety projects for commercial and high-tech facilities in Austin. You will design code-compliant systems, manage the permitting process with local AHJs, and provide technical leadership from site survey to final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed layouts, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform critical battery, voltage drop, and dB loss calculations.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and local Texas fire codes.
• Coordinate with MEP trades and mentor junior design staff.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of fire alarm design experience.
• NICET Level III or IV certification (preferred).
• Texas Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent (APS) license required.
