Role Overview
The Principal Electrical Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert and technical authority on large-scale power infrastructure projects. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role — not a people management position — working directly with customers and project teams to design and deliver complex, mission‑critical electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end electrical system design for industrial and mission‑critical projects.
- Own system architecture across MV/LV distribution, substations, and backup power systems.
- Act as technical authority on complex, high‑value projects.
- Develop and review single line diagrams, protection and coordination studies, schematics, and equipment layouts.
- Partner directly with customers to define robust and scalable power solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
- Mentor engineers and elevate technical capability across the team.
- Shape engineering standards and system design approaches.
Skills & Qualifications
- 15–20+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Deep expertise in industrial power systems including MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, generators, and UPS systems.
- Strong experience in protection and coordination, with SEL relays preferred.
- Background in industrial, utility, data centre, or large infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within industrial engineering firms or EPC environments.
- PE license highly preferred.
- Master's in physics, Mathematics, or a related field highly desirable.
