SummaryThe Ryder Audit Services (RAS) department is a high-performing team that provides internal audit services and support to business leaders across the organization. RAS consists of both audit and advisory activities aimed at adding value and driving continuous improvement in Ryder's business processes and providing assurance that the Company remains compliant with a variety of internal policies and external regulatory obligations.This position will be responsible for assessing and evaluating Ryder's IT systems, controls, and processes. The primary goal is to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of Ryder's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT audit team, management, and other departments to identify risks, implement controls, and provide recommendations for improvement.Essential FunctionsPerform comprehensive reviews of Ryder's IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and assess the level of risk associated with Ryder's IT environment, identifying control gaps and recommending remedial actions.Participate in the development of the annual IT audit plan based on risk assessments and management priorities, collaborating with the audit team to determine scope, objectives, and testing procedures for each engagement.Support the SOX compliance program, conducting walkthroughs, coordinating with the external auditor, and testing design and operational effectiveness for key processes and controls.Conduct interviews and review documentation to understand business objectives and related processes and controls.Analyze data to identify potential trends and anomalies.Develop and execute audit procedures to evaluate the design and efficacy of business procedures and identify gaps or inefficiencies.Communicate the results of RAS projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with professional standards.Additional ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain productive relationships with auditees and staff through individual contacts and group meetings.Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information gained with coworkers.Monitor progress against budgeted time and costs.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, and draw logical conclusions.Time management skills and ability to maintain composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening and presenting findings and recommendations.Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, contractors, and other external contacts, and work effectively in a professional team environment.Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Intermediate Excel skills a plus (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas).QualificationsBachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, information systems/technology, or a related major field of study.One (1) year or more of experience in auditing, accounting, information systems/technology, or a related area preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred.Compensation InformationCompensation is based on relevant experience, education, work location, market data, and internal equity.
