New Part Introduction Buyer: Responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing materials required for new product development and introduction. Supply chain management: identification, development, and management of existing and developing Applied Materials suppliers. Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Leads problem resolution for material related design, accounting and receiving issues. Develops methods of business simplification for the procurement function. Participates in the development of ISO documents for the purchasing function. Functional Knowledge.
