Description:

Restoration Technician

BMS CAT has been a trusted leader in residential and commercial cleaning, restoration, and disaster recovery since 1948. We help customers recover after water, fire, mold, storm, and property damage by providing dependable service, experienced teams, and full-service restoration solutions from initial cleanup through reconstruction.

We are looking for a hands-on Restoration Technician to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys active work, likes variety, and is open to supporting a wide range of restoration services. No two days look exactly the same. You may be helping with water mitigation one day, fire cleanup the next, and packouts, contents cleaning, or mold remediation on another.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will support a variety of residential and commercial restoration and cleaning projects, including:

  • Water damage mitigation and extraction
  • Fire and smoke damage cleanup
  • Mold remediation support
  • Packouts, contents handling, and inventory
  • Cleaning and deodorizing affected areas and belongings
  • Removing damaged drywall, cabinetry, flooring, debris, and other materials
  • Setting up containment and decontamination areas
  • Placing and monitoring drying or remediation equipment
  • Preparing the work van and job site using proper setup procedures
  • Completing job site cleanup and breakdown
  • Supporting or leading a crew depending on project needs

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, cleaning, labor, moving, warehouse, or other hands-on work
  • IICRC certification is preferred, but not required
  • Applicable restoration, mold, or related licenses are a plus
  • Willingness to support a wide range of services, including water, fire, mold, packouts, contents, and specialty cleaning
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
  • Comfort working in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, certifications, licenses, and residential or commercial restoration background. The anticipated hourly range is $18 to $28 per hour, with higher pay considered for candidates who bring relevant restoration experience, industry certifications, or applicable licenses.

BMS CAT offers company-paid life insurance, optional medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, generous paid time off, and additional benefits.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable, respected company where your work directly helps people and businesses recover when they need it most. We also provide opportunities to learn different areas of restoration, including water, fire, mold, contents, packouts, and specialty cleaning.

Apply today to join the BMS CAT team!
