Staff Medical Science Liaison, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Acute CarePosition OverviewImplement key initiatives in KOL engagement, advisory boards, research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence to support the Acute Care community and bridge the gap between Beckman Coulter and our Acute Care customers.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic engagement plans to build relationships with KOLs, acute‑care providers, and medical societies.Identify unmet needs and scientific gaps in medical research and clinical practice, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver field and medical insights.Participate in or drive special projects including voice‑of‑customer events, physician‑initiated clinical studies, off‑label conversations, internal and external education, and publication planning and execution.Maintain detailed knowledge of product platforms, understand business and strategy objectives, and stay updated on current literature and data in the Acute Care space.Primary Experience & Qualifications9+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with a Master's, or 4+ years with a doctorate.Minimum 3+ years in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, or clinical practice (preferred).Extensive knowledge of Acute Care diagnostics and techniques, especially in acute infection and sepsis diagnostics.Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory guidelines, and medical terminology.Proven track record establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs, providers, laboratorians, and healthcare professionals.Preferred Additional Experience8+ years of product and domain knowledge of healthcare technologies and market trends.5+ years of MSL experience in medical technology, medical device, or IVD industry within Medical or Clinical Affairs roles.PhD, MPH, MBA, or Master's in health administration or business‑related field.Travel and Physical RequirementsAbility to travel a minimum of 30‑35% of the time (domestic and international).Work ArrangementThis role may be fully remote in a designated territory covering a global business area.Compensation & BenefitsAnnual salary range: $160,000 – $175,000. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
