Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in cloud and enterprise solutions, is seeking a Server Technician to join their team. As a Server Technician, you will be part of the Server Performance Group supporting the optimization of next-generation AMD-based servers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Server Technician- Data Center

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $23/hr

What's the Job?

• Associates degree in computer technology or related field
• Support the assembly, operation, and maintenance of server hardware in a lab environment.
• Install and remove CPUs, memory, storage devices, and peripherals on rackmount and benchtop systems.
• Flashing firmware such as BIOS, FPGA, and VR firmware via remote management systems or programming tools.
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Manage inventory by tracking, organizing, and reclaiming lab hardware regularly.

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in server assembly, hardware installation, or related technical roles.
• Ability to interpret and follow standard operating procedures and instructions.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, including NIC installation and static IP configuration.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document observations and ask clarifying questions.
