Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

JOB SUMMARY

Ensure team members have the supplies, linens, and equipment needed to maintain guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards. Assist with the delivery of linens and amenities, respond to housekeeping requests, maintain storage areas, and help ensure the cleanliness and organization of back-of-house and public spaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

  • Deliver clean linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to housekeeping closets and work areas throughout the hotel.
  • Respond promptly to requests from Room Attendants, Supervisors, and management for supplies, equipment, and guest items.
  • Collect and transport soiled linens, trash, and recycling from guest floors to designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels in housekeeping closets, storage rooms, and linen areas.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of rollaway beds, cribs, and other guest-requested items.
  • Deliver guest amenities and fulfill special guest requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with special cleaning needs as assigned
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all equipment is maintained in proper working condition
  • Keep storage closets, housekeeping carts, and work areas clean, organized and properly stocked
  • Attend required meetings
  • Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees

Physical Requirements
  • Standing/Walking: Frequently. Standing/Walking up to 8 hours a day
  • Crouching (Bend at knees): Frequently. While cleaning public areas.
  • Stooping (Bend at waist): Frequently. While cleaning public areas, picking up trash.
  • Twisting (Knees/waist/Neck): Frequently. Loading and unloading linen.
  • Climbing: Occasionally. Climbing to the top shelves in linen rooms.
  • Reaching (Overhead/extension): Frequently. Linen shelves
  • Handling/Grasping: Frequently. Handling linen, trash, and guest cleaning supplies.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Average weight frequently 50 lbs.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Average weight frequently 20 lbs.

Working Environment
  • Interior: To include guest rooms, public areas, lobby, laundry room and housekeeping areas, meeting space, storage closets; variety of surfaces/ textures.
  • Exterior: Exposure to variety of elements based on weather conditions (heat/cold/rain/wind/ice)

BASICS
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
  • Report any unsafe conditions immediately
  • Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Hotel Operations or Customer Service preferred
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Works productively with a team
  • Effective multitasking skills
  • Composure and patience under pressure
  • Skilled in working with multiple computer programs- Must be comfortable using devices to communicate with team members and to complete checklists daily (i.e. Alice system.)
